City fixes problems that don鈥檛 exist

Re: 鈥淰ictoria council mulls mid-block crosswalk on Blanshard,鈥 Feb. 28. Once again, I read of a member of Victoria city council sticking a finger in the taxpayer鈥檚 eye with a large budget request for a problem that I do not believe exists.

Games are opposite of聽glorifying conflict

The Invictus Games honour those who have been injured physically or mentally while fighting for their countries 鈥 it is the opposite of glorifying conflict, as it acknowledges the huge human cost of any war.

Wilson-Raybould ideal as Trudeau successor

B.C. Hydro mails out an hourglass

I received a piece of mail from B.C. Hydro, but it didn鈥檛 have its usual flat-bill look with its accompanying insert of propaganda.

Further pipeline study a waste of time

Re: 鈥淓nergy board endorses Trans Mountain pipeline,鈥 Feb. 23. The National Energy Board still wants more study into the effects of tanker traffic on marine life in the Salish Sea, an issue that is nothing more than a red herring.
