Clarifying the date of Arrow's demise

Re: "Remembering the end of the Avro Arrow," Aug. 29. The caption under the picture of the Avro Arrow incorrectly places the Diefenbaker government in the early '50s. That government was first elected in 1957.

Senate inaction an insult to Fairbairn

Good people can be found nearly anywhere, even in the 91原创 Senate, and Joyce Fairbairn is certainly one of those. Like many Albertans who know Joyce, I'm disgusted and sickened to see her descent into Alzheimer's disease become a public circus.

Ah, the pleasures of handwritten letters

I received an unexpected postcard in the mail the other day from an old friend. It made my day. It's been a long time since I've gotten a handwritten letter from a friend - it has to be 10 or 15 years.
