We all love a good story: a story that engages us and meets us where we find ourselves. A friend of mine says: If I am not in love with the main character by page three, then the story hasn鈥檛 grabbed me.

We live in an age in which new ideas are born each day in every field of learning. I find quite interesting the many alternative ideas and theories suggesting new ways of solving our economic problems.

鈥淲hy am I so interested in wisdom?鈥�, I found myself asking recently. It was one of those thoughts that kept coming to me over several days, so I decided to do a little exploring.

Every new year, I vow to clean up a lot of things in my life. My diet. My house. Even the apps on my phone and the files on my computer. I also make plans to 鈥渃lean up鈥� my spiritual life.

About 20 years ago, when we lived in Ottawa, a friend working for the government said that she was working on a document called Vision 2020. A cute name, for sure, but it got me thinking.

The initial inspiration for the movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood , in which Tom Hanks plays Mr. Rogers, was Tom Junod鈥檚 article 鈥淐an You Say 鈥� Hero?鈥� which appeared in Esquire magazine in November 1998.

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to tour Craigdarroch Castle as part of my child鈥檚 class trip. It was a memorable experience. The history around the castle represents a staggering level of wealth and opulence in the late 19 th Century.
