A wind warning from Friday night into early Saturday has led to the cancellation of two Friday-night ferry sailings.
B.C. Ferries called off the 8:15 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen to Duke Point and the 10:45 p.m. sailing from Duke Point to Tsawwassen as a safety precaution.
The warning was issued for Greater Victoria, the southern Gulf Islands and eastern 91原创 Island from Nanaimo to Campbell River.
Environment Canada said southeast winds could gust as high as 90 kilometres per hour in exposed coastal areas, with a possibility tree branches breaking and falling on power lines.
