A warrant has been issued for a man who failed to appear in court on a robbery charge stemming from a November incident in Nanaimo where a woman was punched in the face several times and had her purse stolen.
Michael Mclellan, 39, was arrested the day of the incident and later released on conditions, Nanaimo RCMP said.
He is of no fixed address but is believed to be in the Nanaimo area, police said.
He is described as white, five-foot-11 and 180 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a beard.
