West Shore RCMP are seeking information in the December theft of a flat-bed trailer and excavator from a property on Industrial Way in Langford.
Police said a Ford F350 Super Duty truck was driven onto the site and hooked up to the trailer, which had the excavator on it. Police responded to the theft about 2:40 a.m Dec. 27.
They recovered both the trailer and the excavator but have not identified a suspect.
Police spotted the truck while conducting patrols a short time later but attempts to stop it were unsuccessful.
The driver fled and was last seen heading west on Finlayson Arm Road in the Highlands about 3 a.m.
