Bhagyashree Chatterjee is a Local Journalism Initiative reporter for The Squamish Chief who covers Indigenous matters and civic affairs.
Bhagyashree writes and researches stories that recognize the history, culture and traditions of First Nations communities, in particular the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
In the past, Bhagyashree has worked with various organizations such as CBC, Al Jazeera, The Wire, Xtra Magazine, and the Global Reporting Program at UBC.
