Photos: Floating home in a unique, remote B.C. village now for sale

It's in a nice neighbourhood

There aren't many places like Sullivan Bay.

The remote village consists p of a few houses on B.C.'s coast in the Broughton Archipelago. What makes it special is that not one of them is on land––they all float.

And one of those homes is

Selling for $299,999, it's among the cheapest houses in B.C.

In 91原创, no residence is selling that cheap right now (the lowest-priced home is a small selling for $359,000).

The floating home isn't big, about 950 sq. ft. It's a simple two-bedroom, one-bathroom structure that would work as a vacation home or year-round residence.

Inside there's a shared kitchen, dining, and living space. There's also a small storage and laundry room.

While there are no yards to speak of there is a back deck with views of the surrounding islands, mountains, and, of course, ocean.

It might be difficult to get to, though, unless a sizable boat is available.

Sullivan Bay is a bay off North Broughton Island, and the community of the same name sits within it. Sullivan Bay Marina runs a restaurant and other services for those who live and vacation there.

It's in a nice neighbourhood. The famed Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort isn't far away (visited by the likes of Richard Branson, William Shatner, and George Bush Sr.).

The closest town is Port McNeill on 91原创 Island, though it's 40 kilometres away.
