Update:
Since first posting this blog entry, I went back to see who has come to see us in our first year with the new website. Over the past 365 days:
20 million visits
8 million visitors
45 million pageviews
Sounds like a lot to me.

When the hour strikes 8 p.m. today, this website that you are reading will be exactly one year old.
That was the time we flipped the switch fom old timescolonist.com to new timescolonist.com.
It was a joyous occasion because it meant we left behind a clunky content management system that hadn't worked properly for us in some time. It also gave us more control over the content on our own website.
The change wasn't without its hiccups, but due to the hard work of a lot of people at the Times 91原创 and Glacier Media Group, we got the new product out the door before Christmas.
Reader response was positive from the start as you responded positively to the new design.
The inner workings of the site have allowed us to continue development during the intervening 364 days and we have changed a bunch of things and added even more. In fact, the website on Dec. 12, 2013, bears only a passing resemblance to the one we launched on Dec. 12, 2012.
And it's still a work in progress as we add and subtract based on the best way to get content out to our readers.
It's a small milestone in the of this newspaper, but it's worth noting. The digital platforms of the Times 91原创 are important to how we deliver the news both now and in the future.
Share your thoughts about what you like and what you'd like to see. (And take for granted that I already know you don't like our paywall.)
