I have been a member of The Land Conservancy for a number of years and have sent donations when I could. My sister's family regularly receives a family TLC membership from me as a Christmas present.
Hearing of the current difficulties of TLC, I sat down to write a cheque for a donation. Instead, I wrote a cheque covering the cost of membership fees for a few of my friends. The result will be that my friends will receive a surprise membership in the mail, and be more aware of what TLC can offer (plus the TLC membership numbers will continue to grow toward the goal of 8,000.)
What if every current TLC member included a membership for a friend in their donation?
