Re: "West Coast Trail boardwalks neglected," Aug. 30.
My husband and I and four friends hiked the West Coast Trail a few weeks ago and can also attest to the appalling condition of the boardwalks on the trail. There were also a number of ladders with missing rungs.
This trail attracts hikers from all over the world. I estimate that 30 to 40 per cent of the hikers we met on the trail were international tourists. As a 91原创, I found the situation very embarrassing.
