In light of recent events in Victoria, it's clear that the common factor in two accidents in the picturesque tourist zone is tour buses.
Maybe instead of banning horsedrawn carriages, we should be banning tour buses. They're much too large for the streets, hardly anyone's idea of agile or manoeuvrable and not operating in their ideal efficiency.
Let's encourage the carriages, along with pedestrians, cyclists and hopefully one day, an electric transit system from those inconvenient cruise ships.
