Alberta Premier Jason Kenney stated how many billions of dollars Alberta has contributed to Canada. I鈥檇 like him to say how many billions in subsidies 91原创 taxpayers have given to mostly foreign oil companies.
Then subtract the value of plugging all of those orphan wells. Then subtract the cost of damage to the environment and the deaths and illness that oil-industry emissions cause.
Then what is the answer about the amount they have contributed to Canada?
And the argument that we have no right to complain about oil while we continue to use oil? So I guess when our water is poisonous or tastes like sewage, nobody can complain because we all use water. Likewise air: We all use air, so do we lose our right to complain about air quality?
Build a refinery or explain to us why no one except David Black wants to take the chance on building a refinery. What does that say about the longevity and long-term use of a pipeline and oil infrastructure?
