Re: “Green leader drove in a V-10 car,” letter, May 23.
Give me a break. We have an indignant citizen criticizing Elizabeth May for riding in the Victoria Day parade in a car that wasn’t electric.
Fancy and vintage cars are a fun part of many parades, spit-polished for the occasion and used very rarely, generally not on a daily basis. Let’s keep in mind that Elizabeth May does drive an electric car normally, and for many years did not own a car at all. She’s as green as it gets and in this event was a passenger in a car that would have been in the parade anyway, and from the looks of it she was having a ball. Cut her some slack.
