Re: “Stick with cleaning up the city,” letter, May 19.
I couldn’t agree more with the letter-writer. On Sunday morning, as we walked up Douglas Street from Burdett (we live on that corner), we couldn’t help but notice a man relieving himself against our building — our home.
My wife was disgusted. I mentioned that the closest public restroom was probably in Beacon Hill Park, and he just couldn’t wait. What to do?
Pressure washers, yes, and a portable toilet here or there, placed discreetly, would certainly help.
