The best part of your editorial was halfway down - "what's not to like? Cleaner air, healthier people, quieter streets, lower costs." There is one other plus. After biking on Nanaimo hills for over 35 years (I'm no spring chicken), I recently bought an electric-assist bike - not a scooter. I must pedal if it is to work. When the going gets tough, the assist comes on. Cheap transportation, exercise, and fun. What's not to like?
