The music, the setting and the large audience all made for a wonderful evening at the Beacon Hill's Cameron Bandshell last Monday.
My question is, other than the Seniors' Concerts in the Park series, why doesn't the city create or promote a separate weekly musical event throughout the summer which is more appealing to a broader family demographic?
The bandshell is such a beautiful location and it's a shame to see it empty most of the summer. My guesstimation is there were more people enjoying Monday evening's concert in the park than most city events held this year in Centennial Square combined.
