April 9: Higher prices mean lower consumption

Re: 鈥淐ould pain at pump be good for climate?鈥� column, April 6. Higher pricing at the pump will encourage reduced consumption. Reduced consumption is necessary to win the fight against climate change, and we need to do all that we can to achieve it.

Higher pricing at the pump will encourage reduced consumption. Reduced consumption is necessary to win the fight against climate change, and we need to do all that we can to achieve it. Likely painful, but true.
