The Laval Rouge et Or and the Montreal Carabins will play for the Dunsmore Cup yet again this year after both teams earned victories in RSEQ semifinal action on Saturday in 91Ô´´ university football.
The Rouge et Or defeated the Concordia Stingers 30-10 on quarterback Arnaud Desjardins' 277 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those TDs were to receiver Kevin Mital.
Laval will make an appearance in the RSEQ final for the 18th consecutive time.
Elsewhere the Carabins easily eliminated the Sherbrooke Vert et Or with a 31-3 victory. Quarterback Jonathan Senecal threw for 332 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Montreal and Laval will face off in the Dunsmore Cup final for the eighth straight year. Laval has won four of those meetings while Montreal was victorious in three. The Carabins are the defending champions, having won the 2019 edition.
The Rouge et Or went 5-3 this season while the Carabins were 7-1.
The Dunsmore Cup final is Nov. 14.

OUA EAST SEMIFINALS
OTTAWA 27 TORONTO 17
TORONTO – J.P. Cimankinda and Dawson Odei scored rushing touchdowns to lead the Gee-Gees to the OUA East final. Varsity Blues quarterback Clay Sequeira had two touchdowns but his second interception of the game, returned 40 yards for the major in the fourth quarter, proved costly. Both teams entered the game with 3-3 regular-season records.
QUEEN'S 41 CARLETON 14
KINGSTON, Ont. – The Ravens simply could not stop the Gaels rushing game, which put up 385 yards. Rasheed Tucker ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns, and added a receiving TD as well. Queen's will face Ottawa in the OUA East final.

WESTERN 51 WATERLOO 24
LONDON, Ont. – Evan Hillock's 227 yards and three touchdowns and Trey Humes' two TDs on the ground gave the Mustangs a lopsided victory over the Warriors. Star running back Keon Edwards also had a touchdown as Western advanced to the OUA West final.
GUELPH 31 LAURIER 18
WATERLOO, Ont. – Shawn Lal's three touchdown passes, including two to Keegan Dicks, handed the Gryphons a win over the Golden Hawks in the first post-season meeting between those two teams since 2010. Both teams had 3-3 records at the end of the regular season. Guelph will face Western in the OUA West final.

ANTIGONISH, N.S. – Ben Von Muehldorfer returned an interception for a touchdown and the X-Men (6-0) defeated the Axemen (1-5) to remain perfect on the season.

SACKVILLE, N.B. – Julian Wytinck threw a touchdown pass and Adam Bennett added a rushing T-D to lead the Mounties (5-1) past the Gaiters (2-4). Mount Allison closed the season with a three-game winning streak.

REGINA – Kicker Cole Sabourin led the way with 14 points (four field goals, an extra point and a rouge) to send the Bisons (4-2) back in the win column. The last-place Rams (1-5) dropped their fourth in a row.
SASKATCHEWAN 31 CALGARY 23
SASKATOON – Quarterback Mason Nyhus connected with Daniel Perry for two touchdowns to lead the Huskies (6-1) to a come-from-behind victory over the Dinos (2-4) in the regular-season finale for both teams.
UBC 30 ALBERTA 27
VANCOUVER – A 34-yard field by Owen Brown with 1:04 left in the fourth quarter broke a 27-27 tie and sent the Thunderbirds (3-3) into the post-season. The Golden Bears (3-3) clinched their berth last week.
