A powerful typhoon packing winds up to 162 kilometres per hour is lumbering toward the southern Japanese island of Okinawa and is expected to reach the island on Sunday. Japanese weather officials say Typhoon Bolaven is projected to be the strongest typhoon to hit Okinawa in several years. More than half the 50,000 U.S. troops based in Japan are stationed on the island. -
