Emergency crews and a helicopter were dispatched to the North Shore's Mount Fromme, where a wildfire was reported Friday afternoon.

The fire, about six metres by six metres, was on the north side of the slope, away from houses, said North 91原创 District assistant fire chief Mike Cairns.

The fire was about 200 metres from one of the mountain's switchback trails. Nearby Grouse Mountain was put on alert.

No injuries or evacuations were reported. B.C.'s Wildfire Management Branch took over fire-control efforts. - 91原创 Sun
