North Cowichan-Duncan RCMP and the coroner's office are awaiting autopsy results after the body of a 76-year-old man was found this week on a beach at Maple Bay, near Duncan.
RCMP Cpl. Kevin Day said people out for a walk about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday discovered the body a few hundred metres from Maple Bay's government wharf.
There are no indications the death was suspicious, Day said. The cause of death is not yet known.
