A Saanich teenager is missing, and her family and police are asking the public to help locate her.
Daniela Vlader was last seen by her family on Sunday about 9:30 a.m., when she left their Austin Avenue home to catch the bus downtown. The 17-year-old was to attend a cadet program at the Bay Street Armoury for the day but never showed up.
When she didn't return home that evening, her parents became worried and called police. The teen's disappearance and lack of phone contact with her family is uncharacteristic.
Daniela is 5-foot-7 with a medium build, and has a First Nations background and short dark hair. She has oval, dark-framed glasses and was last seen wearing a blue fleece jacket, blue sweatpants and black leather shoes.
Anyone who has seen Daniela or knows her whereabouts is asked to call Saanich police at 250-475-4321.
