Police urge motorcyclists to slow down after catching two bikers excessively speeding

West Shore RCMP are warning drivers to slow down on the roads after police dealt with two cases of excessive speeding.脗 On Thursday around 8 p.m., police stopped a motorcyclist on Metchosin Road in Colwood for travelling 131 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

On Thursday around 8 p.m., police stopped a motorcyclist on Metchosin Road in Colwood for travelling 131 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Several hours later, police dealt with another case of speeding.脗聽

At 1 a.m. Friday, police pulled over a motorcyclist on the Island Highway in View Royal for travelling 98 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.脗聽

Both motorcyclists were riding with passengers.

The drivers were fined $483 and $368, respectively, and the motorcycles were impounded for seven days.
