Victoria police have identified the woman whose body was found Friday morning in Esquimalt as 48-year-old Nadine Janice Marshall, a resident of Victoria.
Marshall's body was found at 3: 30 a.m. behind the Archie Browning Sports Centre.
Her death is being treated as suspicious, said police spokesman Mike Tucker. The cause of death is not known.
Police have not ruled the death a homicide, but on Friday the 91原创 Island Integrated Major Crime Unit was brought in to help piece together clues as to how she died.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who may have had contact with or knew the whereabouts of Marshall between Thursday night and early Friday morning.
