A south Island family escaped injury Monday when the travel trailer their SUV was pulling fishtailed and flipped on the Nanaimo Parkway.
The incident occurred just after noon near the Dunster Road overpass, said Capt. Brian Mowatt of Nanaimo Fire Department.
The trailer blocked the southbound lanes of the parkway for nearly two hours before being righted.
Nanaimo RCMP are investigating whether the SUV and the trailer were compatible, as well as whether the draft from a semi-trailer truck contributed to the incident.
