Victoria police are searching for an older male after a downtown bank was robbed Saturday afternoon.

A man entered the Royal Bank at 1079 Douglas St. about 3: 10 p.m. and demanded money from a teller, police said.

Sgt. Colin Brown said the man obtained some money but would not disclose the amount.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s or 60s with grey hair.

The robbery was the second incident at the bank in two days.

On Friday, Brown said, someone threatened to blow up the bank.

A man entered the bank about 5: 25 p.m. and said he had a bomb. According to police, the man left shortly afterward without causing any harm.

Police had not yet obtained the bank's surveillance footage and did not have a description of the suspect.
