The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating a fatal house fire in Qualicum Beach.
One person died in the fire on Friday about 8 a.m. in the 200-block of First Avenue West.
B.C. Emergency Health Services said an ambulance attended the scene but no one was taken to hospital.
Fire departments from Qualicum Beach, Dashwood, Coombs and Parksville attended the blaze, which was confined to a small area of the home.
