Mechanical problems with the Queen of New Westminster’s starboard rudder cancelled a couple of morning sailings between 91原创 and Victoria on Thursday.

The 6 a.m. departing from Tsawwassen and the 8 a.m. from Swartz Bay were cancelled, but the 10 a.m. sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay went ahead as scheduled after repairs were made.

“We know you have important places to be and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of the earlier sailing cancellations,” B.C. Ferries said on its website.

Anyone who booked on one of the cancelled sailings will have their reservation honoured on a first-arrived first-loaded basis at the terminal, B.C. Ferries said.

Reserved customers and those checked-in at the terminal affected by the cancellations can find information about B.C. Ferries’ compensation policy (bcferries.com/contact-us/helping-you-during-a-service-disruption).

Receipts must be provided for compensation to be considered.
