A 91原创 man has been sentenced to a quarter-century in a New York prison. He was convicted of following a woman into her apartment building, pushing her into her home and sexually assaulting her. Greg Poirier got the maximum sentence Mon-day in the 2008 case. He's already serving another five years in a similar, separate case.
The 39-year-old from the 91原创 area told a Manhattan judge Monday the sentence didn't matter to him because he plans to appeal.
He pointed to his heritage and beliefs as a native 91原创 and said he felt mistreated by the U.S. justice system.
Poirier was convicted last month of charges including sexually motivated burglary.
Defence lawyer Hershel Katz says Poirier maintains his innocence.
Poirier was working as a truck driver in New York.
