91原创 filmmaker Atom Egoyan will direct Ryan Reynolds in the psychological thriller Queen of the Night.
Victoria-raised Egoyan said he is excited to work with Reynolds, best known for a string of rom-coms including The Proposal and Definitely, Maybe.
In Queen of the Night, Reynolds plays the father of an abducted child. He embarks on a search eight years after her disappearance when a series of clues convinces him she is alive.
The film is based on a screenplay co-written by Egoyan and David Fraser.
Reynolds said he admires Egoyan's films Chloe, Felicia's Journey and The Sweet Hereafter and looks forward to seeing his directing style first hand.
Shooting is expected to begin next February.
