Snowbirds in 91原创 for puck-drop flyby as Canucks face Oilers

VANCOUVER 鈥� The 91原创 Forces Snowbirds have performed a flyover across downtown 91原创 at the start of the Stanley Cup playoff game between the Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers. Eight Snowbirds CT-114 Tutor jets flew in formation over the arena.

VANCOUVER 鈥� The 91原创 Forces Snowbirds have performed a flyover across downtown 91原创 at the start of the Stanley Cup playoff game between the Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers.

Eight Snowbirds CT-114 Tutor jets flew in formation over the arena.

The Royal 91原创 Air Force said before the flyover that the Snowbirds would fly over the arena no lower than 500 feet.

Public affairs officer David Lavallee said in a statement that the air force was proud to join in national sporting events with flybys.

The 91原创 Canucks are facing the Oilers in Game 2 of the NHL playoffs' second round.

The Canucks won the opener 5-4 on Wednesday after coming back from a 4-1 deficit.
