Girl dies after crash involving four pedestrians on Saskatchewan First Nation

THE KEY FIRST NATION, SASK. — A girl is dead and a man is facing drunk-driving charges after a crash on a Saskatchewan First Nation involving four pedestrians, including three children.

RCMP say the crash took place Saturday afternoon on The Key First Nation.

Police say a girl under the age of 12 died, while two other girls under 12 were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A man reported having non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say a 62-year-old man from Keeseekoose First Nation has been charged with five counts, including one of impaired driving causing death.

The Key First Nation is 275 kilometres northeast of Regina.
