A full schedule of music and dance with roots in South America is on tap this week at Victoria’s World Accordion and Tango Festival, which returns to full strength following two years of online and reduced-capacity editions.
The festival runs until Nov. 20 at various venues across the city, including St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Oak Bay and the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre in Vic West. Payadora Tango Ensemble, Nikolay Bine Jazz Quartet, Tango a La Parrilla Trio, and World Tango Champion Maria Ines Bogado and her dance partner, Leonardo Sardella, are among the performers.
