Victoria performer Jimbo has been announced as one of the competitors in the next installment of RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise, which premieres Feb. 1 on the soon-to-be-launched BBC Three channel.
The series, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Vs. The World, will give Jimbo (real name: Jim Insell) a shot at redemption after he placed fourth in Canada’s DragRace in 2020. Jimbo’s ouster was poorly received by fans of the show, who felt he should have won the inaugural 91原创 edition of the Drag Race franchise.
“I was the robbed queen from Canada’s Drag Race season 1,” Jimbo said in press materials promoting what fans have dubbed Drag Race International. “But I’ve moved on… and I’m here to rob someone else now.”
The series will feature nine contestants from various editions of the popular reality series, and will be based in Britain. Judges include RuPaul, Alan Carr, Graham Norton and Michelle Visage.
