Grammy-nominated rockers Sum 41 will begin their final tour of Canada in Victoria next year.
The group from Ajax, Ontario group will play the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre on Jan. 10 as part of its Tour of the Setting Sum cross-country trek, with opening acts Pup and Gob in tow. The band led by frontman Deryck Whibley and fellow co-founders Dave Baksh (guitar) and Cone McCaslin (bass) last played the Blanshard Street venue in 2007.
Sum 41 is touring worldwide to support its final album, Heaven :x: Hell, which arrives March 29. Tour of the Setting Sum began Feb. 27 in Seoul, South Korea, and runs until January. After 27 years together, the two-time Juno Award winners known for the hits Fat Lip and In Too Deep will play the last shows of their career at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Jan. 28 and 30, the latter of which is already sold-out.
