More music concert events lined up for Victoria this summer

The Victoria Jazz Society has added two free events to its concert calendar, including an in-person festival at Beacon Hill Park.

The organizers behind the TD Victoria International JazzFest have announced Virtually Blues Bash (Aug. 30-Sept. 2) and Summer Sessions of Jazz and Blues (Sept. 4-5) to their upcoming event schedule, joining the society鈥檚 previously-announced Get Funk鈥檇 event (Sept. 25) at Phillips Brewing and Malting Co. Summer Sessions of Jazz and Blues will take place at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park and offer in-person performances, while Virtually Blues Bash takes place online.

The performances airing during Virtually Blues Bash were pre-recorded in April and include sets by Michael Kaeshammer, Blue Moon Marquee, the David Gogo Band, and the Kelly Fawcett Band. Summer Sessions of Jazz and Blues includes sets by David Vest, the Kelby MacNayr Swing Rhythm Kings, Bill Johnson, and David Gogo, among others.
