Victoria drag performer James (Jimbo) Insell will close out his massive North American tour with a homecoming show at the Royal Theatre next year.
The North America leg of Jimbo’s Drag Circus tour winds down June 12 at the Broughton Street theatre, the last of 57 dates across a four-month span. Fans will want to be at the ready when tickets go on sale this week, as the demand will be considerable.
Insell, originally from London, Ont., competed on Canada’s DragRace in 2020 and RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World in 2022. Last week, the fan favourite won RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, one of the most-watched reality series on TV.
A limited number of presale tickets (promo code: JIMBO) go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. through the Royal Theatre box office (250-386-6121) and rmts.bc.ca. The remainder go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the same channels. Tickets are priced between $35 and $75. VIP seats, which include a meet and greet with Jimbo, range from $129 to $199.
