Victoria鈥檚 David Foster was recognized for his charity work at Saturday鈥檚 Juno Awards.
The musician, songwriter and record producer was presented with this year鈥檚 humanitarian award during the pre-telecast ceremony in London, Ont., by his close friend Michael Bubl茅.
鈥淗e has inspired me to be a better man and embrace the importance of giving back, however I can,鈥� the singer said as he introduced Foster, whom he called 鈥渁 man whose heart is as big as the sun.鈥�
Foster was recognized for his support of hundreds of charities, including the David Foster Foundation, which provides financial help to families in need of life-saving transplants. He said he enjoyed the opportunity to speak about his interests outside music and how he鈥檚 made 鈥渁 second commitment in my life that鈥檚 equal or [will] maybe outlive my music.鈥�
Bubl茅 picked up his 14th career Juno for "Love," which won adult contemporary album of the year.
