Why: Four of the city鈥檚 best jazz pianists playing live on back-to-back pianos will make Hermann Jazz Club鈥檚 livestream the place to be on Saturday night. Jazz for Two Pianos could just as easily be called Don鈥檛 Miss This Show, with John Lee, Ashley Wey, Attila Fias, and Pablo Cardenas schedule to take the bench in rotating pairs, mixing world music, standards, and hard-bop in new and meaningful way. Here鈥檚 hoping this is the start of an ongoing collaboration.

Why: The duo of Sierra Lundy and Jon Middleton has been hitting musical home runs since the real-life couple鈥檚 first at bat, and the occasion of their rescheduled residency at the Breakwater Cafe & Bistro Tasting Room should give fans plenty of reasons to cheer. Not only can up to 40 attend these concerts in person, the six-show series will have new Ocie Elliott music on proffer as well. Throw in the listening-room atmosphere of the waterfront bistro and you鈥檝e got more than a few reasons to celebrate.

Why: Mezzo-soprano Megan Latham wraps a month of on-demand opera performances with the comic tour d鈥檉orces The Italian Lesson and Bon App茅tit. The two 91原创 Opera productions arrived May 21 and have made Latham a much-discussed performer in the weeks since. To her credit, she has thrived during the pandemic with several videos that show her fun-loving side; Latham鈥檚 work on these fully staged, beautifully shot chamber operas by American composer Lee Hoiby mines both cooking guru Julia Child and monologist Ruth Draper, with expectedly awesome results.
