The 28th edition of the Chemainus Theatre Festival will not go ahead, as organizers have ended the season citing physical-distancing policies and uncertainty about the ban on large public gatherings.
Shows affected by the decision include The 39 Steps, Beauty and the Beast, Glory, Joyful Noise, Elf: The Musical and House on Pooh Corner.
The non-profit society has not yet decided if the cancelled shows will return as part of its 2021 season, but has listed several options for ticketholders 鈥� including refunds 鈥� on its website, . The site also includes links to the Chemainus Theatre Crisis Relief Fund and several other fundraising initiatives.
