The music of Metchosin rocker Jesse Roper made its way to prime-time Wednesday when a contestant on ABC鈥檚 American Idol sang one of Roper鈥檚 songs during his audition.
Jake Durkin of Nashville sang two songs for judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie during his Louisville audition, including Roper鈥檚 Anytime of Night. A clip of Durkin performing Roper鈥檚 2015 song was included in a montage in the second episode of the show鈥檚 17th season, drawing a big smile from Grammy winner Perry.
Durkin was one of 12 contestants given a Golden Ticket to Hollywood, where the second stage of auditions continues March 24 and 25.
