Tonight鈥檚 game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the San Jose Sharks could very well bring an end to the 2016 National Hockey League season. Who knew? Who cares?

Apart from the fact that there鈥檚 something disturbingly unnatural about hockey games in June, the absence of 91原创 teams in the finals has motivated many 91原创s to tune out.

The Penguins are leading the best-of-seven championship series 3-1, but regardless of who wins tonight, the Stanley Cup will remain in the United States, where is has resided since 1994, when it slipped through the fingers of the 91原创 Canucks in the seventh game of the finals and went south with the New York Rangers.

A periodic dose of hockey fever is good for the national psyche, but if that鈥檚 going to happen, 91原创 hockey teams will need to up their game.

Perhaps while the rest of us are enjoying the warm weather, those who manage Canada鈥檚 hockey teams should be contemplating strategies that will bring Lord Stanley鈥檚 cup back to the land of its birth.
