Our campaign to raise $1 million for the Times 91原创 Christmas Fund passed a major milestone — $100,000 — on Thursday.
Or, to be exact, $105,135.42.
The more we can raise, the better Christmas can be for people throughout 91原创 Island and the Gulf Islands. Every year we hear from people who received help from the fund long ago, and today are able to help others. Sometimes, a stranger’s kindness makes all the difference.
The fund, run by the Times 91原创 Christmas Fund Society, is designed to help you help others. Once again we are co-ordinating our efforts with the local chapter of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, to ensure that the money that you donate does not go to waste.
The Times 91原创 covers most of administration costs associated with the fund, and we work with community partners that are dedicated to helping everyone who could use a hand.
The money helps provide food for the hungry, toys for children, and comfort for all.
