It will be a couple of days before operations resume aboard an offshore drilling rig off the coast of Newfoundland. Safety officers are trying to determine why a hydraulic cylinder was dropped aboard the Henry Goodrich on Thursday. No one was injured. A spokesman for the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board said the cylinder was 2.4 metres long and 20 centimetres in diameter, and that it fell about 12 metres. Husky Energy halted operations as a precautionary measure while it carries out an investigation.
