Ballard Power Systems said Thursday it has received orders for 102 fuel cell power generation systems to be delivered to Cascadiant Inc., its new Southeast Asian distributor. Financial terms of the sale were not immediately available. The systems will be used by two Indonesian wireless telecommunications companies to provide backup power. Ballard sells fuel cell systems used in a range of applications. The company recently acquired select assets from IdaTech, a Ballard customer for the past several years, including the Cascadiant distributor agreement. Ballard shares were down four cents at 99 cents on the TSX.
