The public is invited to attend the Victoria Multifaith Society AGM on Sunday, 13 November, from 2 to 4 p.m., to be held at the (see link for map).
The meeting is designed to further our understanding of 91原创 history through a First Nations lens. It will begin with a keynote and mini-workshop by VMS Chair, Dr. John Borrows, on developing a narrative that places Indigenous history at the starting point and central to the story we tell ourselves about 91原创 history.

Dr. Borrows is the Loveland Chair in Indigenous Law at the University of Toronto and is a global leader in Indigenous law. His ideas helped shape the recommendations of both the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples. He has led engagement with Indigenous legal traditions in Canada鈥痑nd internationally, bringing to鈥痩ight some of the injustices, inequalities and conditions of Indigenous people. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada, and from the Chippewas of the Nawash First Nation.
At the end of the meeting, new and continuing members of the VMS board will be presented and there will be an overview of the past and upcoming year. Drop ins are welcome.
