VANCOUVER — McBride RCMP are investigating an accident involving a Greyhound bus Saturday night in which two people were injured.

Police said in a statement that just before midnight, on Highway 16 near Dome Creek, an eastbound bus carrying 18 passengers lost control and skidded off the highway, rolling down an embankment and onto its side. It was snowing heavily at the time, the statement said.

Two passengers were taken to McBride Hospital for medical attention. There was no word on their condition Sunday.

The remaining passengers were taken to the Slim Creek Highway Work Yard, where a second Greyhound bus picked them up to continue their journey, RCMP said.

McBride is about 210 kilometres southeast of Prince George.
