A YouTube video of a pod of orcas swimming along the shore of Galiano Island is making waves online.
The three-and-a-half-minute video shows the large pod splashing, diving and having a whale of a time to the awe of spectators witnessing the up-close encounter.
鈥淎wesome!鈥� one woman is heard exclaiming twice as more orcas seem to surface in the footage. 鈥淭hey are so close to us.鈥�
After the first several killer whales pass, more of the massive marine mammals continue to follow as they swam through Active Pass, an area known for its whale sightings, near 91原创 Island.
The video, posted Sunday, had almost 4,000 views by Tuesday morning.
