Protection Islander Rick Scott's Snooze Music recently received an iParenting Media Award in the U.S.
The album is also up for a Best Children's Album in the 91原创 Folk Music Award for 2006. This year's folk music awards will be presented on Dec. 10 in Edmonton.
Snooze Music has already been honoured with a Parents' Choice Silver Honour and North American Parenting Publications (NAPPA) Gold Awards. It was also nominated as Outstanding Children's Album in the Western 91原创 Music Awards.
The album features 11 dulcimer lullabies co-written and produced by Valley Hennell on Protection Island, with engineer Anthony Maki and vocalist Andrea L'Hereux.
Other Island musicians featured on the disc include Veronica Wagner, Trish Clair Peck, John Forrest, Rachel Capon, John Capon and arranger Douglas J. Doddl.
